Corrections
How to tell us we got something wrong, and what we do about it.
Tell us
Email hello@healthysnacking.co.uk with the address of the page and what you think is wrong. You do not need to be polite about it and you do not need to prove anything. If you can point at a source, that helps; if you cannot, we will go and look ourselves.
We would rather hear from ten people who turn out to be mistaken than miss one who is right.
What we do
We aim to reply within three working days, and to fix a confirmed error the same day we confirm it.
A factual error is corrected and the correction is recorded. The article gets a dated note at the foot saying what was wrong and what it now says. We do not quietly edit a mistake away, because a reader who saw the original deserves to know it changed.
A typo, a broken link or a clumsy sentence is just fixed. No note: nothing a reader relied on has changed.
If a claim turns out to be unsupportable, the claim goes. If that leaves the article with nothing to say, the article goes too, and its address returns a page explaining why rather than a dead end.
If we were wrong about something that could affect someone's health, the article comes down first and is fixed afterwards.
What we will not do
We will not remove an accurate article because somebody dislikes it, and we will not take a claim out because a company asked us to. If you think something is inaccurate, show us why and we will look properly.
