No adverts, no tracking, no pop-ups. How we write

Guides

Practical guides, in metric, with real quantities.

What this section is for

The how rather than the what. Real quantities in grams, real methods, and no pretence that changing how you eat is simple.

Snacking at a desk covers the four-o-clock problem and what survives a drawer without a fridge. Changing a snacking habit covers what the behaviour research actually supports, which is mostly changing your surroundings rather than trying harder.

We have not tried, tasted or tested any of this ourselves, and we say so. How we write explains why that matters.

Thursday afternoons

One email a week, under 500 words

Three things worth reading about what Britain is eating, with a line each on why they matter, and one reader question answered. No adverts, no affiliate links, and nothing we would not send a friend.

We only use your address to send the newsletter, and we confirm it first so nobody can add you without asking. Unsubscribe in one click. See our privacy notice.
